BBC Scotland is a division of the BBC and the primary public broadcaster for Scotland, headquartered at BBC Pacific Quay in Glasgow. It operates multiple television channels (BBC One Scotland, the dedicated BBC Scotland channel, and the Gaelic-language BBC Alba in partnership with MG Alba), as well as radio stations BBC Radio Scotland and BBC Radio nan Gàidheal. Employing approximately 1,250 staff, it produces around 15,000 hours of television and radio programming per year, covering news, drama, comedy, sport, and factual content for both Scottish and UK-wide audiences. BBC Scotland is one of four BBC national broadcasters alongside BBC English Regions, BBC Cymru Wales, and BBC Northern Ireland.
