Founded in 2021 and based in São Paulo, Brazil, AMAIA (formally registered as Amaia Producoes Audiovisuais e Musicais Ltda.) is a Brazilian production company led by producer Diane Maia, dedicated to developing and producing audiovisual projects that blend artistic relevance with broad audience appeal. In its first five years, the company has won two Best Picture awards at the São Paulo International Film Festival and an award at the Rio Film Festival, with a portfolio spanning film, TV, and streaming. The company is currently developing multiple Netflix productions and a slate of features with prominent Brazilian filmmakers, including projects with Cao Hamburger, Gabriela Amaral Almeida, Murilo Hauser, and Monique Gardenberg.
