Godslap

Godslap is a 2D hand-drawn animated feature in production at Lyrical Animation, adapted from the comic series created by YouTuber Charlie White (MoistCr1TiKaL). The film is directed by Kellan Stover from a script by Lyrical's Creative Director Daniel Dominguez and Head of Lyrical Animation Jacob Robinson. Austin-based Powerhouse Animation Studios, known for Castlevania and Blood of Zeus, is handling the animation work. The project is being produced alongside White's Meatier Productions. Set in the grimy dystopian city of Montpelier, the story follows Aius, a young man raised in hiding whose destructive slapping ability his father considers a curse. After losing everything in a single night of rebellion, he must decide whether his power makes him a monster or humanity's only hope against a tyrannical mega-corporation. Production is currently underway with a theatrical release planned for 2028.
