Christina Jennings is the founder, Chairman, and President of Shaftesbury, one of Canada's most enduring independent production companies, which she established in 1987 as a feature film company and has since grown into a diversified global content business producing scripted drama, kids, and digital content distributed in over 120 countries. She is best known as Executive Producer of Murdoch Mysteries (now in its 20th season on CBC) and Hudson & Rex, and has shepherded critically acclaimed projects including Departure, Slasher, Frankie Drake Mysteries, ReGenesis, and The Listener. A recipient of the Order of Canada, Order of Ontario, MIPCOM Lifetime Achievement Award, and Playback's Producer of the Decade (2010), Jennings is widely regarded as one of Canada's most influential and innovative producers. She is also a long-serving Chair of the Board of the Canadian Film Centre.
