Shaftesbury Films, Inc. is a Canadian privately-owned production company founded by Christina Jennings in 1987, specializing in film, television, and digital media production for audiences in over 120 countries. Best known as the producer of the long-running international hit Murdoch Mysteries (19+ seasons), the company also produces Hudson & Rex, Slasher, Departure, and a growing slate of kids and family content. In 2021, AMC Networks acquired a minority stake in Shaftesbury, granting AMC distribution rights to all Shaftesbury titles outside Canada. Named Playback's Production Company of the Year for 2025, the company projects production volume exceeding $135 million for that year.
