YouTube TV

YouTube TV is an American subscription over-the-top (OTT) live TV streaming service operated by Google through its subsidiary YouTube, launched on April 5, 2017. Functioning as a virtual multichannel video programming distributor (vMVPD), it offers live linear feeds and on-demand content from 100+ television networks — including affiliates of ABC, NBC, CBS, Fox, The CW, and PBS — plus unlimited cloud DVR storage and up to 6 household accounts per subscription. As of November 2025, YouTube TV surpassed 10 million subscribers, cementing its position as the leading live TV streaming service and primary cable-replacement in the United States. It is also the exclusive home of NFL Sunday Ticket, acquired in a reported ~$2.5 billion per year multi-year rights deal starting with the 2023 NFL season.
