Reading Rainbow is the official YouTube channel and digital brand for the iconic American children's educational series, originally broadcast on PBS from 1983 to 2006. The channel is operated under the trademark of the Western New York Public Broadcasting Association (WNED-Buffalo / Buffalo Toronto Public Media), which is the sole owner of all Reading Rainbow intellectual property. The brand was revived in 2025 as a four-episode digital series on Sony Pictures Television's KidZuko YouTube channel, hosted by librarian and content creator Mychal Threets; it amassed over 4.79 million views and was subsequently renewed for a full 24-episode season in February 2026. The classic series earned 26 Emmy Awards, a Peabody Award, and more than 200 other broadcast accolades during its original 155-episode run.
