Toei Company, Ltd. (東映株式会社) is one of Japan's Big Four film studios and a publicly listed entertainment conglomerate (TYO: 9605), founded in 1951 and headquartered at Kyobashi Edogrand in Chuo, Tokyo. The company produces and distributes feature films, television dramas, tokusatsu (special effects) series, and anime, and is the majority shareholder of Toei Animation, which produces globally recognized franchises including Dragon Ball, One Piece, Sailor Moon, Kamen Rider, Super Sentai, and the Power Rangers format. Under its 'TOEI NEW WAVE 2033' strategic vision, the company has committed approximately ¥300 billion (US$2 billion) toward global content investment and business expansion, with a focus on North American and Asian markets, international co-productions, and upgrading its Tokyo and Kyoto studio facilities.
