About

TIFF: The Market is the Toronto International Film Festival's inaugural official content marketplace, launched in September 2026 and running concurrently with the festival from September 10–16. Envisioned as the North American hub for buying and selling screen-based projects, IP, television, gaming, and immersive content across all platforms, it is backed by a landmark CAD $23 million investment from the Government of Canada. The market hosts over 150 international sales, promotional, and distribution companies alongside 130+ confirmed buyers from 49 countries, positioning Toronto as a structured rival to Cannes and Berlin markets. Key offerings include curated matchmaking, market screenings, a Pitch Stage, IP Exchange, Talent Development Lab, and an industry Summit.
