Story Kitchen (formerly dj2 Entertainment) is a Los Angeles-based independent production company and self-described 'Franchise Farmers,' specializing in adapting video games and other non-traditional IP into premium film and television content. Founded in 2022 by Sonic the Hedgehog producer Dmitri M. Johnson and former APA/IAG agent Mike Goldberg, the company holds a television first-look deal at Amazon MGM Studios and an animated film first-look deal at DreamWorks Animation. In May 2025, Variety's Luminate Film & TV report ranked Story Kitchen 3rd in Hollywood for most active game/toy adaptations, behind only Mattel and LEGO.
