About

Red Room Pictures is the Los Angeles-based production company founded in 2024 by writer-director Mike Flanagan after his departure from Intrepid Pictures, with Alexandra Magistro as a co-founding partner. The company specializes in emotionally rich, character-driven, slow-burn horror that blurs the line between the supernatural and the deeply human. Operating under Flanagan's exclusive overall deal with Amazon Studios for television (signed 2023), Red Room also produces feature films for partners including Universal Pictures, Warner Bros., and Netflix. The company's slate includes the Stephen King adaptation The Life of Chuck (2025), the Amazon Prime Video miniseries Carrie (2026), and The Exorcist: Martyrs (2027), co-produced with Blumhouse Productions, Atomic Monster, and Morgan Creek Entertainment.
