Qatar Foundation

Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development (QF) is a state-led, private non-profit organization founded in 1995 by then-Emir Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani and Sheikha Moza bint Nasser, headquartered at Education City in Doha, Qatar. The Foundation operates across three core mission pillars—education, scientific research, and community development—comprising more than 50 entities including branch campuses of world-leading universities, specialized research institutes, cultural institutions such as Mathaf: Arab Museum of Modern Art, and community programs. In the entertainment and media space, QF operates the Stars of Science reality TV series, the Qatar Philharmonic Orchestra, Qatar Music Academy, Doha Debates, and the Qatar National Convention Centre, while also supporting content creation and media production through its broader ecosystem. QF is a major driver of Qatar's broader cultural and creative economy, with subsidiaries and affiliates active in publishing, performing arts, sports, and media.
