NeoText is a Los Angeles-based digital fiction imprint and production company, founded in 2020 by Russell Ackerman, John Schoenfelder, and Jay Schuminsky of Addictive Pictures. The company is purpose-built to develop original short-form fiction — including genre novellas, narrative nonfiction, and investigative journalism, often illustrated by leading comic book artists — expressly for film and television adaptation. Rather than acquiring existing books and hoping for screen interest, NeoText engineers original IP from inception with adaptation in mind, attracting major talent and directing interest at the earliest possible stage.
