Lookingglass Theater Company

Lookingglass Theatre Company is a Tony Award-winning (2011 Outstanding Regional Theatre), non-profit ensemble theatre company founded in 1988 by graduates of Northwestern University, located inside the historic Water Tower Water Works on Michigan Avenue in Chicago, IL. The company is a nationwide leader in the creation of new, cutting-edge theatrical works — physical, aurally rich, and visually metaphoric — and has staged more than 65 world premieres. After a pause in operations in 2023, the company relaunched in January 2025 under new artistic director Kasey Foster and managing director Jamey Lundblad.
