The Thai Silk Company Limited, trading as Jim Thompson, is Bangkok-headquartered luxury textile and lifestyle brand founded in 1948/1950 by American entrepreneur James H.W. Thompson, who single-handedly revived Thailand's silk weaving industry. Renowned as one of the world's leading producers of handwoven Thai silk fabrics, the company operates a vertically integrated production process spanning fibre preparation, dyeing, weaving, printing, and finishing, and distributes products in over 60 countries. Under Group CEO Frank Cancelloni (appointed 2021), the brand has been transforming into a global lifestyle brand — encompassing fashion, home furnishings, food & beverage, and hospitality — with subsidiaries Jim Thompson America, Jim Thompson Europe, and acquired British luxury brand Fox Linton.
