Founded in 1817, the company publishes approximately 10,000 new books per year across 16 languages under more than 120 branded imprints, with a catalog exceeding 200,000 titles. A subsidiary of News Corp, HarperCollins serves virtually every genre and age category, from children's books to Christian publishing, literary fiction, and commercial nonfiction. In November 2024, it became the first major book publisher to sign a licensing agreement with Microsoft to provide book content for training generative AI models.
