The Flanders Audiovisual Fund (VAF) is a public funding body established in 2002 by the Flemish government, headquartered in Brussels, that supports audiovisual and games production in — and international co-productions with — Flanders, Belgium. It operates three specialized selective funds: the VAF/Film Fund (fiction, animation, documentary, and experimental film), the VAF/Media Fund (high-quality television series), and the VAF/Game Fund (video game development). Beyond financing, VAF also supports professional training, maintains a knowledge centre, and houses Flanders Image, its international promotion division that represents Flemish content at major festivals and markets worldwide. With an annual budget of approximately €29.86 million (2023), VAF has backed internationally acclaimed filmmakers including Oscar nominees Lukas Dhont, Felix van Groeningen, and Michaël R. Roskam.
