About

Fat City is a Los Angeles-based independent film and television production company founded in October 2022 by Oscar-nominated producer Sara Murphy (Licorice Pizza, If Beale Street Could Talk) and Ryan Zacarias (War Pony, A Chiara). The company operates under a first-look deal with Anonymous Content's AC Studios, focusing on distinctive, artistically driven feature films and television projects. Fat City has quickly built a strong indie film profile, with credits including Mother, Couch (TIFF 2023) and If I Had Legs I'd Kick You (Sundance 2025, distributed by A24).
