About

The European Solidarity Fund for Ukrainian Films (ESFUF) is a multilateral film financing initiative proposed by France's CNC to EFAD members during the Cannes General Assembly in May 2022 and formally launched at the 73rd Berlinale in February 2023. Coordinated by the CNC and supported by 19 European ministries and national film funds, the fund provides production grants for feature-length fiction, documentary, and animation co-productions between Ukrainian and European production companies. Since its launch, the fund has awarded 57 grants totalling over €4.3 million, and has evolved from supporting film finalisation and development toward full production support as of 2024.
