About

Essential Film Group is a London-headquartered international production, financing, and sales company that publicly launched at the 2024 Cannes Market under the chairmanship of former SF Studios CEO Rasmus Ramstad. Operating as a one-stop shop spanning film finance, production, post-production, and international sales, the group runs its dedicated sales division Essential Films International (led by veteran executives James Norrie and Nina Kolokouri) and maintains its own studio infrastructure through Sarke Studio in Tbilisi, Georgia, featuring 500 acres of backlots and state-of-the-art facilities. The group has established the Essential Film Fund as part of a 3–5 year investment plan targeting international co-productions and original content across genres including action, horror, thriller, comedy, and sci-fi.
