Bulgarian National Film Center

The Bulgarian National Film Center (NFC) is the Executive Agency of the Bulgarian Ministry of Culture, established by Decree No. 97 of May 13, 2004, responsible for implementing the Film Industry Act (FIA). Its core functions include financing the creation, distribution, and exhibition of Bulgarian films domestically and internationally, administering the national cash rebate scheme for film and TV production, managing the Creative Europe MEDIA Desk for Bulgaria, and representing Bulgaria on the EURIMAGES Board. It supports feature, documentary, animated, and short films through competitive state subsidy programs and maintains the Unified Public Register of the film industry.
