Brass Jar Productions is a New York City-based live entertainment and immersive theater production company, best known as the producer behind the off-Broadway hit comedy Drunk Shakespeare — a unique theatrical experience in which one of five professional actors consumes five shots of whiskey before attempting to perform a major Shakespearean role. Co-founded by Scott Griffin and David Hudson, the company now operates productions in New York City, Chicago, Washington D.C., Phoenix, and Houston, making it one of America's fastest-growing immersive theater companies. In October 2024, Brass Jar Productions ratified a landmark union contract with Actors' Equity Association covering Drunk Shakespeare and its seasonal companion production Drunk Dracula, believed to be a first-of-its-kind agreement allowing performers to drink on the job.
