Binge Fringe Festival of Free Theater (BFF)

BFF: The Binge Fringe Festival of Free Theatre is an annual fringe theater festival produced by the Santa Monica Playhouse, self-described as the only free fringe festival in the nation. Now in its eleventh annual edition, the festival runs each fall (typically October–November) at the Santa Monica Playhouse Arts Complex at 1211 4th Street, featuring original plays, workshops, one-person shows, comedy, poetry, and family programming by Los Angeles and Santa Monica-based artists. All events are free to the public, made possible through grants from the City of Santa Monica, the Santa Monica Arts Commission, the Los Angeles County Department of Arts and Culture, and private donors. The festival also offers live-streaming of select performances.
