Arte France Cinema

Arte France Cinéma is the film co-production subsidiary of Arte France, the French arm of the Franco-German public cultural television broadcaster ARTE. Founded on 30 August 1991 (originally as La Sept Cinéma), it has been involved in more than 600 films, collaborating with over 300 directors from more than 50 nationalities. The company co-produces approximately 20 fiction features, two to four feature-length documentaries, and one animated film per year, with a mandate focused on arthouse cinema, first-time directors, European cinema, and international co-productions. Its films have won multiple Palme d'Or prizes at Cannes, including for Triangle of Sadness (2022) and Winter Sleep (2014).
