Martin Scorsese to Direct The Irishman with Robert De Niro & Al Pacino

Robert De Niro and Al Pacino to star in Martin Scorsese's epic film, The Irishman. Filming will take place in Florida and in New York City, and will begin on August 21, 2017.

The big budget film is produced by STX Entertainment and will show on Netflix.  Joe Pesci, Harvey Keitel, and Ray Romano also star in the film. The Irishman is to be released in 2018. Project Synopsis: Based on the book  I Heard You Paint Houses by Charles Brandt, Scorsese's film is about the deathbed confession by Frank "The Irishman" Sheeran (played by De Niro) of conducting the 1975 hit on Union Boss Jimmy Hoffa. Hoffa disappeared on July 30, 1975 from a restaurant parking lot in a Detroit suburb. While Hoffa's remains have never been found, Sheeran's account of his involvement in the disappearance was convincing enough for the FBI to search the house Sheeran claimed to have killed Hoffa in for DNA evidence. None was found.
