Pop has ordered a 30-minute pilot of a supernatural comedy series with Jessica Jones star Krysten Ritter as executive producer. The series is titled "The Demons of Dorian Gunn". Filming will start in January in New York City.
Kyrsten Ritter will executive produce the film via her production company, Silent Machine. Mike Posson and Peggy Cheng serve as co-executive producers. Jax Media's Tony Hernandez and Lilly Burns will also be executive producers of the film. John Skidmore serves as producer.
The pilot is written by Upright Citizen's Brigade alumni Evan Greenspoon and Brandon Scott Jones. The script is a genre blender with clever mythology and very funny striking characters. It embraces the horror/sci-fi genre in a dementedly irrelevant manner.
Project Synopsis:
The project centers on the disgraced life of New York socialite Dorian Gunn. After experiencing a disgrace that separates him from his elite peers, he learns that he descends from a long line of demon hunters. He is then forced to leave his life of leisure to protect humanity from monsters as they emerge from the gates of hell.
