Filming in January: Eva Green and Lars Eidinger Star in Alince Winocour's Astronaut Action-Drama "Proxima"

Eva Green & Lars Eidinger are slated to star in a Dharamsala production titled Proxima. The multilingual production starts shooting in January in Paris, France for 9 weeks.

Alice Winocour from Augustine and Disorder is directing the film "Proxima". Dharamsala, Winocour's collaborators on her Disorder and Augustine films is producing the film and Pathe is in charge of the distribution.

Project Synopsis

Eva Green is playing an astronaut preparing for a one-year mission to the International Space Station (ISS).  But first, she must face intense training and suffer the devastating separation from her 7-year-old-daughter. The film will center in the preparation before departure, which is the worst part of the astronaut's training. We will get to see the hard part of saying goodbye to your family and preparing your body for space. In an interview, Winocour said, "It's really about how you put your fears and pain into something bigger than life." Eva Green will be trained by French astronaut Thomas Pesquet alongside astronaut Peggy Whitson. Thomas Pequet just completed a six month ISS tour. Wincor teamed with the European and Russian Space Agencies to film within the actual offices, and to film a launch.
