Tony Hernandez is an Emmy Award-winning and Peabody Award-winning television and film producer who co-founded Jax Media in New York in 2011, building it into one of the industry's most prolific independent comedy production companies before selling a controlling stake to Imagine Entertainment in 2018 and fully exiting in January 2023. He is currently CEO and co-founder of Counterpart Studios, launched alongside Lilly Burns (his wife and creative partner) and Elise Henderson, with offices in both New York and Los Angeles. Counterpart's slate includes four on-air series: Dexter: Original Sin and Dexter: Resurrection (Paramount+/Showtime), Free Bert (Netflix), and Maximum Pleasure Guaranteed (Apple TV+). He is known for producing premium content at efficient budgets, with credits spanning Emily in Paris, Russian Doll, Broad City, Inside Amy Schumer, and Full Frontal with Samantha Bee.
