Scott Strauss is a veteran film producer and former Executive Vice President of Sony's Screen Gems division, where he oversaw development, packaging, and global production on more than 40 films—including the Resident Evil and Underworld franchises—over nearly two decades. He previously served as President of Outlaw Productions and VP of Kopelson Entertainment before joining Sony. In 2024, he launched Badlands, an indie genre label backed by Renegade Capital and partnered with Basil Iwanyk and Erica Lee's Thunder Road, targeting two to three genre films per year. Strauss is also a member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences.
