Rodney Rothman is an Academy Award-winning American filmmaker and author best known for co-writing and co-directing Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse (2018), for which he also won a Golden Globe, two Annie Awards, and a BAFTA. A former head writer of Late Show with David Letterman — the youngest in the show's history — his additional credits as writer and/or producer include 22 Jump Street, Forgetting Sarah Marshall, Get Him to the Greek, and Popstar: Never Stop Never Stopping. In 2021, he co-founded Modern Magic, a Los Angeles-based media company developing animated and live-action content for film and television, and currently serves as its CEO under a first-look deal with Sony Pictures.
