Polly Hill is one of Britain's most prominent television drama executives, currently serving as Head of Drama (Director of Drama) at ITV, a position she has held since 2016. At ITV she has overseen a acclaimed slate including Mr Bates vs The Post Office, The Night Manager, Wolf Hall, Trigger Point, Liar, Des, Quiz, Manhunt, and Joan, among many others. Prior to ITV, she spent 11 years at the BBC, rising from executive producer to Controller of Drama Commissioning, overseeing landmark productions including Wolf Hall, Poldark, The Missing, War and Peace, and Doctor Foster. She began her career working for Verity Lambert, with early credits including script editing on EastEnders, producing at Channel 4 (Teachers), and the Grierson Award-winning Cherished.
