Peter Chernin (born May 29, 1951) is one of Hollywood's most accomplished media executives and producers, who served as President & COO of News Corporation and Chairman/CEO of the Fox Group from 1996–2009, overseeing the production of Titanic and Avatar. In 2009 he founded Chernin Entertainment, producing Oscar-nominated films including Ford v Ferrari, Hidden Figures, and The Greatest Showman, and in 2022 co-founded The North Road Company with Jenno Topping and Jesse Jacobs. Following Mediawan's acquisition of North Road in January 2026 for approximately $900 million (largely in stock), Chernin transitioned to Non-Executive Chairman of North Road and joined the Mediawan board of directors as a significant minority shareholder.
