Lance Samuels is a South African-born Canadian film and television producer, best known as the President of Blue Ice Pictures, an independent production company based in Toronto and Cape Town. He founded Out of Africa Entertainment in 2004, which was acquired by Blue Ice Group in 2010–2011, leading to the formation of Blue Ice Pictures with Samuels at its helm. Under his leadership, Blue Ice Pictures has produced internationally acclaimed projects including HBO's Generation Kill, Strike Back, The Book of Negroes (BET/CBC), The Bang Bang Club, and Netflix's hit series Ginny & Georgia. With over 60 producing credits spanning features, television series, and television movies, Samuels is a prominent figure in Canadian-international co-productions.
