John Schoenfelder is a Los Angeles-based film and television producer and co-founder of Addictive Pictures, a genre-focused production banner launched in 2014 with Russell Ackerman and financier Ken Kao. He is best known for producing Netflix features including Cargo (2017), Hold the Dark (2018), The Electric State (2025), and Capone (2020). In 2020, he co-founded NeoText, a digital publishing company developing short-form genre fiction and narrative nonfiction as IP for screen adaptation, with active productions including Anonymous Jane (2026) and The Surgeon (upcoming, starring Michelle Yeoh). He previously served as SVP at Scott Rudin Productions and was the founding editorial director of Little Brown's Mulholland Books imprint.
