Edward Michael Guiney is an Irish-American film and television producer, co-founder and Co-CEO of Element Pictures, the award-winning Dublin- and London-based production company he established with Andrew Lowe in 2001. He oversees Element's full film and television development and production slate, known for long-term creative partnerships with directors including Yorgos Lanthimos, Lenny Abrahamson, and Joanna Hogg. His credits include Academy Award, BAFTA, and Golden Lion-winning Poor Things (2023), The Favourite (2018), Room (2015), and the Emmy-nominated series Normal People; he has received three Academy Award nominations for Best Picture and won a BAFTA for Outstanding British Film. In 2024 he also founded STORYHOUSE, a non-profit festival centred on storytelling for film and television.
