Daniel Joseph Levy is a multi-hyphenate Emmy Award-winning Canadian writer, actor, director, showrunner, and producer, best known for co-creating, writing, directing, and starring as David Rose in the acclaimed CBC/Netflix sitcom Schitt's Creek (2015–2020), for which he made history by winning four Emmys in a single year. He is the founder of Not a Real Production Company, which has an overall TV deal and first-look film deal at Netflix. His latest project, Big Mistakes — a crime comedy he co-created with Rachel Sennott and serves as showrunner, executive producer, and star — premiered on Netflix on April 9, 2026, and was quickly renewed for a second season.
