Chad Oakes is a Canadian film and television producer born on May 27, 1968 in Calgary, Alberta. He co-founded Nomadic Pictures in 1995 alongside Mike Frislev, building it into one of the most active production companies in North America with over 97 projects totaling $1.5 billion in production value. He is a two-time Primetime Emmy winner, earning Outstanding Miniseries honors for AMC's Broken Trail (2007) and FX's Fargo (2014), and also took home a Golden Globe and Producers Guild Award for Fargo. His current slate includes House of David (Amazon/Wonder), Buried in Barstow, Wind River: Rising, A Long Winter (MUBI/Film4), and The Horseman.
