Carla Stronge is a triple Emmy-winning, BAFTA-nominated, IFTA-winning Casting Director born and based in Belfast, Northern Ireland. She founded Extras NI (now The Extras Dept.) in 2007 — Ireland's first and largest background casting agency — before transitioning to principal casting, with her first credit on HBO's Game of Thrones in 2010. She is best known for her work across all eight seasons of Game of Thrones, all three series of The Fall and Derry Girls, and the feature film Kneecap (2024), for which she won the BIFA for Best Casting, a BAFTA nomination, and the inaugural IFTA Casting Award in 2025. She operates her own Belfast-based casting company, Carla Stronge Casting, and is represented by 42 Management & Production.
