The Extras Dept Ltd (formerly Extras NI) is Ireland's leading extras and background artist agency, founded in 2007 and headquartered in Belfast, Northern Ireland. The only large-scale extras agency operating across the whole island of Ireland, they maintain a database of over 20,000 registered background artists and have supplied extras to virtually every major production filmed in Northern Ireland, including HBO's Game of Thrones, BBC's Derry Girls, Line of Duty, The Fall, and Blue Lights. They operate a proprietary bespoke extras management platform called EDDIE, and function effectively as a fully fledged recruitment agency with comprehensive ID and compliance systems.
