Vorteks

Vorteks is the dedicated genre label of Dubai-based global film sales agency Cercamon, launched at the Cannes Film Market in May 2025. The label focuses on international sales and acquisitions of horror, sci-fi, thriller, fantasy, dark comedy, and action feature films, targeting 8–10 features per year with a special emphasis on bold, emerging genre filmmakers. Led by David Kwok — former Director of Programming at Tribeca Film Festival for its first ten editions — Vorteks operates as a genre-focused arm of Cercamon, which was founded in 2014 by Sébastien Chesneau.
