Vendian Entertainment was an independent motion picture finance and production company, founded in 2014 by Christopher Woodrow (former CEO of Worldview Entertainment), focused on studio-quality feature films for worldwide distribution. The company raised $100 million in equity at launch and co-financed and/or produced eight films, including Black Mass (Warner Bros.), Hacksaw Ridge (Lionsgate — 6 Academy Award nominations, 2 Oscar wins, $181M+ global box office), Snowden, The Neon Demon, Free State of Jones, American Made, and Under the Silver Lake. According to Crunchbase, the company is now permanently closed.
