About

Universal Content Productions LLC (UCP) is an American television production company and division of Universal Studio Group within NBCUniversal, itself a wholly owned subsidiary of Comcast. Originally founded in 2008 as Universal Cable Productions to serve USA Network and Syfy, it rebranded in early 2019 to reflect its expansion into streaming and digital platforms, producing for Peacock, Netflix, Hulu, and beyond. Led by President Beatrice Springborn, UCP has produced Emmy Award-winning and critically acclaimed series including The Umbrella Academy, Mr. Robot, Monk, Ted, Resident Alien, Chucky, and Suits. NOTE: As of June 2026, UCP is merging with Universal International Studios (UIS) to form a new combined entity called Universal Global Television (UGT), still under Springborn's leadership.
