TV5MONDE is one of the world's top 3 largest television networks, broadcasting French-language programming 24/7 across ten channels distributed in more than 400 million households across 200 countries and territories. Founded in 1984 by five public broadcasters from France, Switzerland, and Belgium, it is a public service broadcaster owned 51% by a consortium of francophone public broadcasters (including France Télévisions, Arte France, RTBF, RTS, CBC/Radio-Canada, and Télé-Québec) and 49% by France Médias Monde. In addition to its linear channels, it operates TV5MONDE+, a free streaming platform available in 200 countries, as well as TV5MONDE EDU, an international French-language education hub.
