TOSOS (The Other Side of Silence)

The Other Side of Silence (TOSOS) is New York City's oldest and longest-producing LGBTQIA+ theater company, originally founded in 1974 by Doric Wilson, Billy Blackwell, and Peter del Valle. After closing in 1977, it was revived in 2002 by artistic director Mark Finley and managing director Barry Childs and has been producing Off-Off-Broadway work ever since. As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, TOSOS is dedicated to an honest and open exploration of LGBTQ+ life and cultural sensibility, presenting mainstage productions and a free reading series that preserves and promotes the community's theatrical heritage.
