The John W. Engeman Theater at NorthportFollow

The John W. Engeman Theater at Northport is Long Island's only professional year-round theater company, casting its actors directly from the Broadway talent pool. Opened in June 2007 following a multi-million dollar renovation of the historic 1932 Northport movie house, the theater features stadium-style seating, state-of-the-art lighting and sound, and a Lobby Bar and Lounge. Under the leadership of Executive Producer Richard Dolce and Managing Director Kevin O'Neill, the theater has produced nearly 100 Main Stage Productions of Broadway's finest musicals and plays, along with a children's theater program, performing arts classes, and private events. The theater is named in honor of Chief Warrant Officer Four John William Engeman, who was killed in Iraq on May 14, 2006.
