Telewizja Polsat is Poland's largest commercial television broadcaster and media company, operating over 40 TV channels under the Polsat brand including the flagship free-to-air POLSAT channel, launched on 5 December 1992 as the first independent commercial television station in Poland. It is a wholly owned subsidiary of Cyfrowy Polsat S.A. (Polsat Plus Group), the largest media and telecommunications conglomerate in Poland and Central & Eastern Europe, listed on the Warsaw Stock Exchange (WSE: CPS). The company produces, acquires, and broadcasts entertainment, news, sports, film, and lifestyle programming, while also operating the Polsat Box pay-TV platform and the Polsat Box Go streaming service.
