Sutton St. Productions

Sutton St. Productions is a Los Angeles-based television production company founded in December 2018 by acclaimed showrunner Jennie Snyder Urman (creator of Jane the Virgin and Matlock) and veteran development executive Joanna Klein. The company operates under Urman's overall deal at CBS Studios and is mandated to create programming spotlighting strong female characters and stories. Since its launch, the banner has sold projects across CBS, The CW, Netflix, HBO Max, Peacock, and Lifetime, with its most prominent current credit being the CBS hit Matlock (2024). In September 2025, former CBS Studios/CBS All Access executive Julie McNamara joined as Urman's new partner following Joanna Klein's departure.
