The company develops and produces projects for film, television, and streaming platforms, with a particular focus on sourcing material from non-fiction books, real-world events, and high-profile figures. In October 2025, Sunset Lane Media made industry news by opening a dedicated Washington, D.C. office — believed to be the first Hollywood company to do so for creative (not lobbying) purposes — to mine the nation's capital for stories involving espionage, diplomacy, legal thrillers, and military missions.
