SNL Studios (also known as Saturday Night Live Studios) is an American production company founded in July 1997 as a joint venture between Saturday Night Live creator and executive producer Lorne Michaels, NBC Studios (now Universal Television), and initially Paramount Pictures. The company co-produces the long-running NBC late-night sketch comedy series Saturday Night Live in association with Michaels' Broadway Video, broadcasting live from Studio 8H at 30 Rockefeller Plaza in New York City. SNL Studios has also produced feature films adapted from popular SNL sketches, including A Night at the Roxbury (1998), Superstar (1999), and The Ladies Man (2000), all distributed by Paramount Pictures. Paramount's stake in the venture was dissolved in 2004 following NBC's merger with Universal Pictures to form NBCUniversal.
