Rubicon Theatre Company

Rubicon Theatre Company is a not-for-profit, professional regional theatre company founded in 1998 by Karyl Lynn Burns and James O'Neil, based in downtown Ventura, California. The company's mission is to entertain, enrich, and educate the region's residents through innovative theatrical productions, festivals, special events, and education programs. Rubicon has earned numerous prestigious awards, including a Drama Desk Award for 'Outstanding Revue,' the L.A. Drama Critics' Circle Margaret Harford Award for 'Sustained Excellence,' and 15 Ovation Awards, and has been described as 'the best theatre between Los Angeles and San Francisco.' Now in its 28th season, the company produces a diverse mainstage subscription season, the Ventura LIVE concert/event series, and robust summer education programs.
